results you help generate. - -What You'll Be Doing: -As the General
Manager, you'll oversee operations for multiple warehouse locations
in the Salt Lake City area, lead teams, and ensure all aspects of
the business run smoothly. You will aggressively pursue excellence
by building a strong, cohesive team and fostering a culture of
continuous improvement. In this role, you'll develop long-term
business strategies while forging positive relationships with
colleagues, industry partners, and vendors to drive success and
growth across the entire operation. -Although this is the top-level
role for the branch, you will be supported by a broader network of
company resources, including professionals in safety, marketing,
finance, and operations. While these experts provide guidance and
assistance, you are ultimately responsible for owning your role and
delivering high-quality outcomes. This position reports to the
Chief Operating Officer. - -Here's a snapshot of your key
responsibilities: - -1. Financial Leadership -
- Create, manage, and oversee budgets in collaboration with the
accounting team. -
- Provide short- and long-term financial and managerial reports.

- Track revenue streams and costs and maintain data to support
forecasting. -
- Craft a comprehensive budget for the coming year with a focus
on peak periods. - -2. Operations Management -
- Oversee all operations, including crew management, equipment,
and warehouse logistics, ensuring efficiency and quality. -
- Manage and maintain the readiness of equipment and fleet,
coordinating with mechanics for preventive maintenance. -
- Lead and support the operations team, including dispatchers,
warehouse managers, and moving crews, ensuring accountability and
performance. -
- Ensure warehouse operations are efficient, organized, and
compliant with safety standards. -
- Align all operations with the standards of Allied Van Lines and
contractual obligations, ensuring quality and timely service.

- Monitor budgets and control operational costs while swiftly
addressing challenges and providing effective solutions. - -3.
Customer Satisfaction -
- Oversee customer service, manage escalations, and ensure
procedures are followed. -
- Collaborate with the Customer Service Team Leader to train and
support staff in delivering exceptional service. - -4. Human
Resources & Team Development -
- Build a skilled team in preparation for peak moving seasons.

- Delegate responsibilities and empower employees through
training on processes, procedures, and safety. -
- Ensure employees are adequately trained on all aspects of
driver and safety standards. - -5. Leadership & Communication -
- Lead teams with clarity, managing short, medium, and long-term
objectives. -
- Communicate with Executive teams to align on strategy and
vision. -
- Provide leadership that fosters a positive, collaborative work
culture. - -What You Bring: -The ideal candidate is an experienced
leader with a background in the moving and storage or logistics
industries, ready to step into a dynamic environment. You'll bring
the following qualifications: - -PREFERRED:Bachelor's degree in
business administration, supply chain management, or a related
field - -STRONGLY PREFERRED: At least 5 years of experience
managing a household goods moving & storage facility. -REQUIRED: 3+
years overseeing an operational management team in a fast-paced
industry. - -
- A demonstrated ability to lead and manage individuals with a
wide range of personalities and roles, from customer service
professionals to hands-on operational teams, each with unique
challenges and work styles. -
- A strong financial literacy for reviewing P&L statements,
identifying areas for improvement, and recognizing what's driving
success to make data-driven decisions that enhance profitability
and operational efficiency. -
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -
- Strong leadership abilities and a professional demeanor. -
- A valid driver's license and the ability to pass Motor Vehicle
